Our Work for Charity and in the Community

Valleyfield Joinery Ltd is proud to support both local community charity events and charity events that benefit the whole of Scotland.
This year, we have a number of Charity events planned for charities close to our hearts, which can be found on Valleyfield Charity Foundation website. See the link below to our events and how to get involved:
Sponsorships

Owen Bryceland - Scottish Junior Darts Player
We have been proud sponsors of Owen since he was just 8 years old, a local rising superstar in the darts world. Owen has won various titles in the 3 years that we have sponsored him most notably the Junior Darts Championship at just 10 years old!!
Nexgen Indoor Golf Centre - Golf Training, Tracking and Entertainment
NexGen is a local Indoor Golf Centre, that we were more than happy to provide sponsorship for their newest bay with the latest technology.

Our Charity Work
Charity Golf Day at Nexgen - 25th October 2025
Our Indoor Golf Simulator Fundraiser was an absolute success, raising over £800 for the ‘Warm Winter Clothing Appeal’ fund which will be donated to the Cumbernauld & Carbrain Community Hub. The event was held at Nexgen Golf Simulator, where we have our own sponsored bay, and was a day full of friendly competitions, some brilliant (and some terrible) shots, and many prizes/trophies being awarded. There was also the opportunity to play golf pro and owner, Chris Tierney, who was beaten by 3 people on the closest to the pin!
Congratulations to all the winners and we hope everyone had an amazing time raising money for an important cause.
There is still plenty of time to donate as the ‘Warm Winter Clothing Appeal’ drive will ongoing until the 15th of December, so get your donations in to help those who need it most stay safe and warm this Winter. Visit the VF Charity Foundation Website for more information.

Kiltwalk 2024
For the last 3 years some of our team members have completed the Glasgow leg of the Mighty Stride Kiltwalk, walking 23 miles to raise money for a different charity each year helping those in need locally and nationally. In 2024 we undertook the Kiltwalk on behalf of the Craighalbert Centre our chosen charity, a local school providing support for children and their families with neurological conditions. Carbrain and Cumbernauld Community Hub - Christmas 2023/24
Recently, our team handmade decorations to be sold at Christmas fayres from wood donated by one of the five-star builders that we are partnered with, allowing us to provide Carbrain and Cumbernauld Community Hub with Christmas presents for local children.

The Ben Nevis Challenge
7th August 2026
The team at Valleyfield Charity Foundation are taking on the Ben Nevis Challenge on Friday 7th August 2026, for a local men’s mental health charity, Chris’s House. Chris’s House do amazing work for those affected by suicidal thoughts and their friends and family. This is something that has affected me and my siblings, Siobhan and Daniel as our dad committed suicide in June 2021 just weeks before his 60th birthday. If my dad had somewhere like Chris’s House where he could go and talk about how he was feeling he might not have made the choice he made.
Any donations big or small for the team tackling this challenge would be amazing as this is a very deserving charity, that makes a difference in people's lives.
Thanks
Laura Anne
